Heartfelt

Heartfelt is a charity that I hope you have no knowledge of, let alone ever having to used its services.

It was started by an Australian photographer after his family suffered a still birth. The hospital offered to take photos, so that the family could remember their little one. The photos was clinical, and not particularly comforting.

From that experience Heartfelt was born. It now operates across Australia and New Zealand and offers the gift of photographs to families who have suffered a still birth or have a child with a life threatening condition. We set out to take gentle images for our families so keep as a reminder of their little one.

There is no charge to the family, they are provided with a link to their photos in about a week and this is followed up with an album of photos and a flash drive with all images.

It is sometimes challenging, but it is always rewarding and humbling, being with a family at one of the most pivotal moments in their lives.
